Study targets AIDS therapy The Sacramento Bee The newly formed UC Davis AIDS Clinical Trials Unit has started a study that should solve a long-standing controversy in the field. Researchers hope to learn whether patients with HIV who have never been treated and are admitted to a hospital with an AIDS-related infection should be given anti-retroviral drugs immediately or after treatment for the acute infection is completed.
