Description: The 10th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections is a scientifically focused meeting of the world's leading researchers working to understand, prevent, and treat HIV/AIDS and its complications. The goal of the Retrovirus Conference is to provide a forum for translating laboratory and clinical research into medical applications. The subjects that will be highlighted are virology, immunology, vaccines, pathogenesis, disease mechanisms in humans and animal models, primary/acute infection, host-virus interactions, antiretroviral therapy (preclinical, clinical, complications, immune-based therapies, treatment strategies and drug resistance), neuropathogenesis and neurologic complications, opportunistic infections, hepatitis virus co-infections, epidemiology and infection control, pediatrics/maternal-fetal studies, HIV infection in women/women's health, diagnostics, microbicides, and clinical pharmacology.
