Some exposed seronegative individuals may be infected
New evidence for HIV-1 infection in two exposed seronegative (ES) individuals below the detection limit of standard assays, suggests that extraordinary control of infection can occur. Journal of Virology 77(11), 6108, June 2003.
Augmentation of HIV-1-specific T helper cell responses in chronic HIV-1 infection by therapeutic immunization
The augmentation of HIV-1-specific T helper cell responses was achieved in five out of five vaccine recipients and none out of four controls by therapeutic immunization in individuals with chronic infection on suppressive ART. AIDS 17(8), 1121, 2003.
Comparative immunogenicity in monkeys of DNA, recombinant vaccinia virus, and replication-defective adenovirus vectors expressing Gag
Adenovirus type 5-mediated gene transfer provided an extremely potent means of inducing anti-HIV-1 T-cell responses, specifically CTL. Preexisting immunity directed at the viral vector itself only reduced, but did not abolish anti-Gag T-cell responses. Journal of Virology 77(11), 6305, June 2003.
